Public outcry saves Englewood post office and its mural

Public outcry saves Englewood post office and its mural - The Denver Post: "he future of the downtown Englewood post office and its World War II-era mural is safeat least for now.

Less than a month after the U.S. Postal Service announced the possibility of shuttering the 1938 building at 3330 S. Broadway and consolidating operations elsewhere, the agency has reversed course.

Spokesman Alex Turner said Friday the Postal Service has decided to keep open the location, where a 6-by-12-foot painting by famed Colorado artist Boardman Robinson has been on view since 1940."
