Proposed postal move would cost local jobs

Front page news - newsjournalonline.com: "DAYTONA BEACH -- A proposal to move some mail processing from the local distribution center to one in Lake Mary drew jeers, boos and pointed objections Tuesday from a crowd of more than 150 gathered at the Hampton Inn.
United States Postal Service officials concluded after a study this past fall that the agency could save $657,000 a year by shifting some work 38 miles southwest to the Mid-Florida Processing and Distribution Center."
