East end post office to close Feb. 19-Elko Daily Free Press: "The U.S. Postal Service has announced that the East Elko post office, located at 2082 Idaho St., will close at the end of the business day Feb. 19.
All delivery and retail services will be provided by the Elko Main Office, 275 Third St., effective Feb. 20.
A statement from the Postal Service said that with the current postal economic environment, it is evaluating locations across the country looking for redundancies in service and ways to increase efficiency without severely impacting customer service and access"
