Glitch leaves 20,000-plus rural mail carriers without paycheck | Sun Journal: "FARMINGTON — Due to a programming error that occurred across the country, about 11,600 regular rural mail carriers and up to 14,000 substitute carriers did not receive their paychecks Friday, a U.S. Postal Service spokesman said.

All have the option of a timely emergency salary advance, which is provided locally, Thomas P. Rizzo, a spokesman for the Northern New England District of the U.S Postal Service, said Friday."
