He keeps his graying hair and mustache neatly trimmed. He has an inoffensively earnest manner. He also has heavy bags under his eyes, which testify to the long hours he spends scrutinizing federal spending for the U.S. Government Accountability Office, the congressional watchdog agency where he is Director of Physical Infrastructure Issues. As his title suggests, Herr devotes much of his time to highway programs. But for the past three years he has been diagnosing what ails the U.S. Postal Service.

After finishing Minor High School, Wilkinson served as a Marine in World War II and helped to guard Franklin D. Roosevelt at his Little White House in Georgia. When he finished his military service, he joined the postal service in 1947. Stamps were just 3 cents that year.

Tyler Post Office sued after woman trips in parking lot -TYLER - The post office in Tyler is being sued after a woman trips over a wheel chock in the parking area and fractures her wrist.
Barbara Jones filed suit against U.S. Postal Services on May 10 in the Eastern District of Texas, Tyler Division.
According to the complaint, Jones, while working for Trinity Mother Frances Health Systems, pulled her van to the back dock of the post office in Tyler to unload mail baskets for her employer.

Police say no charges for postal worker in fatal accident - “After reviewing the physical evidence (including an inspection of the postal vehicle and the toxicology report on the driver) and witness’s statements the police department and the Chester County District Attorney’s Office have concluded that no criminal charges are warranted in this matter,” McGowan said.Police said the man has not returned to work since the accident.
